Privacy Policy

At Astrojano (a digital platform owned by Vone Academy), we recognize that your birth data and personal life inquiries are deeply private. We maintain a strict data privacy framework to ensure that your interactions with our AI platform remain safe, private, and confidential, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable Indian law.

1. Information We Collect

To generate personalized predictive content, we collect:

  • Core Identity Metrics: Date of Birth, Time of Birth, and Place of Birth.
  • Account Identification: Mobile Number (for OTP verification), email address, or Google Authentication tokens.
  • Contextual Inputs: Open-ended text queries entered into our Chat Terminal, or relationship/compatibility details you choose to submit.
  • Payment Information: Processed directly by our payment gateway partner; Astrojano does not store your card, UPI, or bank credentials on its own servers.

2. Data Fiduciary

For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), Vone Academy, operating the Astrojano platform, is the Data Fiduciary responsible for determining the purpose and means of processing your personal data. All references to "we," "us," or "Astrojano" in this Privacy Policy refer to Vone Academy in its capacity as Data Fiduciary.

3. Consent

By creating an account and checking the consent box at signup, you provide explicit consent for us to collect and process the data described above for the purposes described in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, which may result in loss of access to personalized features.

4. How We Use and Process Your Data

Your data is processed strictly to generate astrological calculations and AI-based interpretations. Birth parameters are used to calculate planetary positions, which are then processed by our AI model to generate your personalized content. We do not use your birth data or conversational history to build external advertising profiles or sell it to advertisers.

5. Third-Party Processing & Cross-Border Transfer

Astrojano uses third-party AI infrastructure and cloud hosting providers to process and generate content. As a result, your data (including birth details and chat inputs) may be processed on servers located outside India. These providers are contractually bound to maintain confidentiality and data security standards. We do not permit third-party processors to use your data for their own purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data, birth records, and chat history for as long as your account remains active, and for 3 years after account closure, or until you request deletion, whichever is earlier, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

7. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request erasure of your data and account
  • Withdraw previously given consent at any time
  • Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity

To withdraw consent or request data deletion, you may do so at any time by either:

  • Emailing privacy@astrojano.in with your request, or
  • Clicking "Delete Account" in your Account Settings dashboard

Please note that withdrawing consent or deleting your account will result in loss of access to personalized features, saved charts, and chat history, as we will no longer be able to process your birth data to generate insights. We will process deletion requests within 15 working days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit (SSL/TLS) and stored on secure cloud servers with restricted access. Your personal charts and conversation history are visible only to you via your authenticated dashboard login. We do not sell, lease, or distribute your personal information to third-party marketing companies.

9. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand site usage and improve our services. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

10. Children's Privacy

Astrojano does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Users aged 13–18 may use free features only with parental/guardian consent, as described in our Terms & Conditions.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
